Accreditation

The Tenney School has maintained accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) since 1979. The accreditation process is repeated every five years, with our last Quality Assurance Review completed in November 2006. The review helps focus schools on a continuous process of improvement, providing external checks, support, and feedback to help schools improve.

Founded in 1895, SACS CASI accredits over 13,000 schools and school systems throughout the United States and overseas. The SACS organization accredits most public and private schools in an 11-state region covering the southeastern United States. SACS CASI is an accreditation division of AdvancED. AdvancED is also the parent organization of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the National Study of School Evaluation (NSSE).
